Carlos Tíscar, born in 1964, is a member of ADCV. Although he began designing at the age of six, he formally studied and graduated in Industrial Design from the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas in Valencia in 1982. Two years later, he moved to Italy to study at the Scuola Politécnica di Design in Milan. He began his professional design career as a member of Factoría Diseño Industrial in 1987 and later became a partner at Gesto Design Management in 1991. Since 1993, he has been running his own studio.
He has taught project-based courses at several schools and institutions, including Barreira (Valencia), AIMME (Paterna), Eset CEU (Alfara del Patriarca), and EASD (Valencia). From 2012 to 2015, he served as president of ADCV (Association of Designers of the Valencian Community).
His work has earned numerous accolades, among them the Impiva Award, the ADCV Gold Award, the Good Design Award, the German Design Award, and the iF Design Award.
